What a page of musical wonder.  Bob Dale, thank you for starting my day so beautifully.

bartlebyphonics, patient had its rewards but, my goodness, I had to be patient.  Smile

One of my fondest memories is of my now sold vinyl copy of the Treorchy Male Choir singing, among other things, Verdi's Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves (Speed Your Journey).  Alas, I cannot find an online copy, so these lovely old gentlemen of the Barry Male Voice Choir (note the one young'un in the lot) will do for today's selection:

You can't go wrong with a bit of Chaz and Dave, underrated songwriters in my opinion.
In the same ilk i caught a bit of 'The Good Old Days' on BBC4 recently, never seen or even heard of it before, i thought it was an old time music hall style film to begin with then Danny La Rue and Les Dawson did a turn. My owd nan used to love it according to my mom.
Denimbro does Britain's Got Talent would be the best way of describing it.

Couldn't agree more 00.
There was an excellent documentary about them on the BBC4 several years ago called 'Chas & Dave: Last Orders' which is well worth a watch if you haven't seen it already.
