Some points I understood:
On April 9th he will release the Dawn Knight Series. It's a 1942 style. While his jeans have the prefix M (for Manufacturing) like M47, these will have the D prefix (for Dawn Knight).

And while the M series differ only by year, the D series will correspond to certain months (e.g. 1942 August to December)

The D will be more history correct (for the maniac), the M easier to understand and "cooler looking".

The will be sale of limited items from April 6th to 9th (4 days): a pair of D 1942 pants with buckle back
special points about these jeans (and for example differences to the 1937 ones) are * WW2 had already started (after Pearly Harbor in December 1942) * material control was implemented ( he studied, in which months which item was restricted (threads, etc.) * for instance, until recently, nobody really know when exactly the buckle back disappeared * he had talked to a number of people, looked at historic items and detemined that the buckle back was in use until August 1942

Next talks about the change of a rivet to a domed one in the WW2 time.
So from March to August 1942 there were jeans with a buckle back and a domed rivet. The D series features both of these. This is until 07:51. He then starts to talk about the flasher. Very interesting. I hope, I can watch the rest soon. |

Many thanks lndigo_eagle. Also saw he mentioned the backseam panel overlap change. Looking through original examples, this is something that happened during the late 1930's (so not necessarily 1942) - looking forward to more clues!

Is that because of the inaccuracies or because you have enough jeans Foxy?
