After reading that one early advertisement for the blouses mentioning unstitching the pleat(s) for more room, I wonder how many people actually did that.

I would think it happened with say- men that had a lot of extra pork....But going by most pictures you see- most of these guys were pencils, and probably not unstitching. We have never seen these unstitched, in pieces or whole garments....But were finding garments from the hard labor kind of folks- most likely pencils. |
