Cheers for the input fellas, much appreciated.
As advised 00 I'll stick the query up in the TCB thread.  And yeah, slim 50,s get tae'!

Bartleby, in this case the jeans wouldn't be purchased from TCB direct which is, unfortunately, where the conundrum has came from.

Got it. Not able to provide accurate shrink measurements (I never measured mine) but can attest to the denim quality: very fine. from some erk comparison over on sufu: if you have had lvc 55: basically the tcbs are a bit more trim in the top box than the lvc, but the tcbs are a bit bigger in the hem... similar fabric, the tcb a shade more slubby, but not over-egging the pudding

having worn them a lot: one of my favourite jeans

Anyone have some lightweight rain jacket recommendations?
Not looking for anything overly technical, just a simple lightweight jacket that'll keep me mostly dry.
I like the Colimbo Maximilian parka but can't track one down in my size.

Hawkwood Mercantile (they make military spec in waxed cotton & ventile). Superb quality at a fair price.

Snow Peak

Paramo

Patagonia

I don't suppose you get that much rain in Texas,  How lightweight are you talking?
I'll endorse anything for cash

Arpenteur makes a nice rain jacket in ventile if you can find one.

Thanks everyone, might just go the Patagonia route.
Don’t want to spend a bunch of money on something that won’t get a ton of wear.

Hilarious when Patagonia is the "cheap" option.
