Have 1937 arches changed? These are post WWII,  and this fit is not from the 30s or 40s.
The reproductions are getting worse…

Perhaps these are from the pre-LVC Capital E range that was (made and) launched in the USA? Some of the historical details are incorrect for a 1937 model (which these are closest to) such as the buttons that you mentioned and the arcuates.

Levi 501 XXs??? Does anyone know anything about these jeans? Looking at the label, they seem made in 1994, but at that time there was no LVC yet.
And another issue are the buttons, I've never seen any like this.

Regards.

Holy crap! that cut is a very modern interpretation, slim-straight by my standards.
I'll endorse anything for cash

I came across what certainly looks like a 90’s version of a type 2 jacket- small e- I’m guessing sometime in the 90’s, a half hearted attempt was being made to re- create their old styles before LVC came along.

^l had one of those. Bought it in and around 1993 when my old og type 2 became too small.
Think it was ok, but the top line of the box pleat stitches were well below the top pocket line, (similar to the tcb type 2) - if that makes sense?
I really wanted the detail of my original so I passed it on.
