It is leather to make gloves, but I do not know its origin

I’ve been keeping an eye on yahoo Japan, and a 33 waist seems like I’d have some margin for error, but 33 waist is pretty rare. 32, all day long. Story of my life.
I found a worn pair of 32s that measures wearable for me, what amount of stretch and shrink are people experiencing with the Japanese made versions? I see some 32s listed measuring under 30” and this particular pair around 31”.

My w34 is a real W32

Been a lifelong Levi's fan but new to the LVC scene. I've come across a pair which I believe to be a knock off of a Japanese reproduction, though I'm not a 100% certain:

The wash tag doesn’t look like this in this time period- made in USA and made in California- seems they should
Have added made in the lower 48…Just ( made in USA) is the usual.

Just ordered a pair of 503BXX from Dec 91 on ebay, can’t wait for them to arrive. Very beaten up and worn in but I really wanted a piece of LVCJ history. Paper patch which I haven’t seen before with that model, still says every garment guaranteed so guessing still a 50’s pair? Also picked up a pair of unworn and unwashed pair of s702XX’s a few months ago that are beautiful. Too big in the waist for me but I can wear them oversized and cinch them. The quality of the denim is just amazing, not knocking the LVC stuff at all though. Will take some nice pics and add them to this thread.

Hi All,

Back again and I picked up some dead stock 702’s from 1998 which I’m thrilled about.

In the original pics on this thread, the 702’s pictured are the 702-XX01 version which it seems means one wash. The 702’s I got are the 702-XX00 which are non washed. I’ve also seen 702-XX0R’s but it’s not clear to me what the differentiator is here and all three pairs seem to be sanforised or “shrinkage controlled” as their pocket flashers say. Anyone know?

Anyway, enjoy the pics I took of these. Measurements are 15.5” waist, rise 12”, inseam 37”, hem 9.25”.



Inside tag info, mentions XX0R being shrink to fit but does not appear to be the case from my research:



Raw vs Worn 702’s:



Fit on a 6’1, 29” true waist, tokyo cuff due to long hems. Super wide hem which is awesome:
