Amoskeag denim ??
Some pairs of LVC like 1917 and 1875 "Oldest, Oldest Precious Grimes" say they are made from Amoskeag denim but how can that be? Are they really 80 year old deadstock denim rolls or just a Cone Mills reproduction like fabric?

They've been an LVC retailer for ages. They're legit. They've probably got a bunch of old stock left to sell.

Hi all
Can anyone shed any light on the 605-0217? I can hardly find anything on the net and nothing on here so far. Did LVC do a repro of them or only genuine vintage? Are they selvedge? Red or orange tab? So little info out there, so I’m wondering if anyone has more info. The pair I’m looking at has asymmetrical arcuates and the waist tag looks genuine but no pocket tab visible. I’d love to know more! OK -- so now I have BOTH the Valencia Sawtooth 1955 shirt AND the LVC Cone Mills Made in USA 1955 sawtooth shirt...
....and the Valencia WINS. By a loooooooong shot. Boxier fit, denim feels more "period," incision cut of sawtooth pockets is same as the actual vintage garment (whereas the LVC one is more shallow).... ...so, just here to say -- get yourself a Valencia!
