It's winter in Canada.  That means I have no choice but to ditch RTW fashion acquisition and wear my snow pants and spot-me-facedown-in-a-snowbank-neon-orange parka.  Continuously.  Until late March, possibly April.

Doesn't matter.  I am finding solace in sewing my way through a towering fabric stash.  Today's project will be a pair of Kermit the Frog-green velveteen trousers.  Or, as little Jack Flash suggests, Grinch-Green trousers...

Funny you mentioned sewing , I've been looking for a sewing machine today on a local listings site .... never sewn before but I've had the urge to try it for ages and this year I'm going to try and make a good go of it

Sewing has kept me sane, Flash.  My work can be super-stressful and being able to change my state of mind by focusing on drafting, cutting and stitching has been a lifesaver.

As a bonus, you can find some great instructional videos, blogs and books out there.  The online sewing community is also incredibly supportive.
