Notice the button shoes in the first photo. Think they'll make a comeback?

Can anyone shed some light on this.
Why is it in so many of these old photos the people got them crazy serial killer eyes? Haha |

Did you notice the numbers on most of these guys, criminals...drunken gamblers Most of the old photos are working class- and those were hard days. If we had a thread for peeps in their Sunday best...probably wouldn’t see all the crazy eyes |

Plus I think with those early cameras people had to freeze for a couple of seconds to avoid blur, hence the stark, stern expressions. It was easier to do that than hold a smile perhaps.

Yes exactly! I was watching a documentary on Disfarmer, and they mention this. Exposure on the old cameras was long so they had to hold an expression for a long time, so as you said the easiest expression to hold was a more stern serious expression.

I keep seeing these 'oldest trousers in the world' (about 3000 years old apparently) on twitter, and have to say I'd happily wear a repro.

It would be an interesting pair of long underwear or some sort of sweat pants, what sort of peeps did this come off?
