I think the knee pads suit them really well actually. They are one of the more interesting jeans I've seen in a while.

I like them Broark but im surprised by how roomy the seat/top block is compared to the slimmer/tapered lower leg, i thought the same as slab re-straight but they def look tapered when worn.

Thanks 00.
I think some of it could be the photos and my frame combined with the engineers. They are slightly tapered, although I can easily hike them up to my knee if need be. Overall I'm happy with them, they're something completely different from anything I own.

Thinking of buying a pair of the Hercules overalls and the comments about sizing on this thread have alarmed me. I'm a 38 waist. Should I size up to a 40?

for the more regular cuts/fits in the median sizes I have to size up 2 compared to the most common size I wear in Japanese brands (not actual size). this is an odd cut and I only sized up 1, which worked out fine for me. I can't comment on Ooe's bigger sizes as brands often use different size increments after size W34 or W35...

If anyone is interested, the OAO2-0619 was just released. Made from OAXX3 denim. I think it sold out already on the OOE site, but several retailers have some.
