#2: The Skull? Definitely Peter Cushing in a Hammer Horror film.

#5: Killer Klown’s from Outer Space? Never watched it all the way through.

All correct!

Just #4 to go...

buler- I'm impressed, I thought that was an obscure enough moment from Ferris that it would stump everyone. You've either seen that an unhealthy number of times or you have a real gift for pattern recognition...

I'll say I've seen it a "healthy" number of times. Everyone should watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off at least once a year...

Both correct, Exorcist 3 and Lifeforce.
I agree, Exorcist 3 is highly underrated.

Yeah. Sorry, Guys! I meant to post a 'feel free to move on' comment. Apparently I'm the only one stuck in the B&W era.
Here are the answers.
1. Night Of The Demon (aka Curse Of The Demon. My favorite horror/supernatural film.)
2. The Set Up ( a boxing movie starring Robert Ryan).
3. Brute Force (Prison movie starring Burt Lancaster. Hume Cronin (photo) played the pseudo-nazi prison guard who in the climax of the film, Burt Lancaser hoists over his head & throws from the guard tower....)
4. I'm A Fugitive From A Chain Gang (Paul Muni).
5. The Long Voyage Home (A tale of merchant seamen in WWII. The fellow in the photo has just been strafed by a German plane).

Mr. R, Is no3 The Creeping Flesh?

Posted By: mr randal

^Yes indeed! I watched that recently and was impressed again at how well it holds up and by the bizarre Lovecraftian plot and imagery.

I need to see it again. I was mad for the Hammer Horror pics when I was a kid. Haven't seen it since then. It doesn't seem to turn up on US TV.
You might like Night Of The Demon. It's got a nice sense of underlying menace.

I just looked that up, CSL, and it looks like a good watch.

Dracula ad 1972, one of hammers last, is fun too, though significantly campier.

1. Definitely looks like an Elvira piece, not sure which one though.

Close enough, IH, Elvira Mistress of the Dark.

Posted By: mr randal
Date Posted: 07 Jul 2020 at 8:18am
Speaking of Elvira and Hammer, Elviras second movie, Haunted Hills, is a direct reference to the gothic Hammer Films inspired by Poe.
It isn’t nearly as funny as the first, but has a certain earnest, winning charm.
