What is the shrink/stretch on TCB jeans like? I am only familiar with Flat Heads at the moment and my pair shrank 2 inches after soak with absolutely no stretch after multiple wears. I am told brands like PBJ don't shrink and instead stretch by 2 sizes.

Looking at TCB 505 or 50s slim. Love the suspender buttons and cinch on the 20s but after a lot of reading and picture viewing, I figure the 20s look best on slimmer guys and not on somebody with a 36 waist.

with the good doctor so excited about bartacking under the back-pocket rivets elsewhere, i realise that the bartacking in question on the tcb20s model had never actually been visualised

[shown here on new competition pair... without arcs; heartbreak]

(& some bonus shots of three button fly and lighterweight belt loop undergone a couple months wear...)

edit: thanks to hp's correction from below...

Thanks Bartle, yes those tcb 1920's comp (first run) were almost in my hands, but for one or two small details. The orignal arcs pair had super accurate details, and close inspection of them next to the original pair he used as the template, made me very tempted. Until Fullcount fucked everyone over. Thankyou for sharing, although l am not a fan of the newer back pocket design.
I'm still following on sufu though

P.s : l will never ever now buy fullcount products for all of 'those' reasons.

Ooo, bartle, freaky synchronicity.  Canada Post just pitched up on my doorstep with a new pair of TCB 20s from The Shop Vancouver (thank you, my West Coast friends).  Got them on sale, taking a chance on a larger size (size 30 when I generally wear 28 or 29) because these were the last pair.  Dumped them into a hot bath and hot dryer and, voila, they are now my size.

If I understand what you are saying correctly, bartle, I beg to differ.  The bartack could only have been sewn before the rivet was hammered in.  Otherwise, that's too close and would interfere with the machine's presser foot, not to mention posing a risk for needle mishaps.  And, of course, you want the bartack sufficiently offset from the rivet to avert its destruction from proximity with the rivet's puncture.

Did I just instruct you on how to suck eggs, bartle?  If so, sorry about that.  I can be a bit pedantic sometimes... Embarrassed

Anyway, I love these denims.  Their looser-cut legs, cinch back and suspender option are just the ticket for me.

Thank you for sharing all your knowledge, Dr. Heech.  It's wonderful to take in.

well hp, if i must suck eggs, then i shall, with vigor; because my ignorance is most evident; and the clear light of your dispelling of my dark clouds of stupidity is most most welcome!

(i had thought below meant in 2d manner, but you open up the 3d nature of their constructed reality!)

tcb20s + einstein menlo (plus your engineer boot perfectionism): looking forward to seeing how it all matches up!!!

Mr. Einstein's jacket is still bumping towards me on the back of a chuckwagon, bartle.

I may have to settle for a crappy shot of the TCB 20s today, sans brainy jacket.  Come to think of it, I also owe Mr. Q a shot of my Tweety-Bird-yellow Steel boots.

Alas, without the dreaded selfie stick, I cannot pose for any pictures without my husband arising and going to Innisfree with me.

My better half wakes up shortly before noon on weekends, due to the fatigue imposed by his workload.  I want him to continue growing old with me, so I never begrudge him his REMs.

take your time!
re: self-outfit analysis-pix i find the real key is ample amounts on indirect natural light
balance camera phone on timer with vaguely defining context behind and hey presto...

& and sorry to be so persistent re: that menlo; i have been looking a lot at the aero-leather a-1 and aeromarine as possible 20s/30s era leather jackets; but i think that lvc version is bees-knees... [also am actually very intrigued about what the perfume notes really are like; have been very into wood and incense fragrance notes recently, so wonder how wearable such a fragrance is...]

& dear doctor: glad to know you are still following the comp even as it restarts in relatively quiet-mode: i am not a huge fan of the ears either, and heavily argued for arcs in the first place; and look where that got us...

[and re: fullcount; been thinking about cycles of violence; levis try to burn all those who use arcs and tabs, those who survive try [and here succeed] to burn all those that infringe on them and their perceived differences... makes me want to start re-reading my proudhon...]
