Doesn't surprise me that there is something of an increasing market for these. The denim feels awesome, very stout, stiff, crispy, hairy. Better than a lot of the newer selvedge pairs and frankly they feel better than some raw LVC 1947s I've handled. These would age nicely with wear.

They look like a very decent pair of jeans!

Try explaining to the denim shops that you want an authentic 1984 era non-chainstitched non-Union Special hem...

Good find trapp, the back belt loops (not the middle one) and patch placement are quite unusual. The green rivet looks cool, is that oxidisation?

Thanks! That's oxidation on the copper rivet. The jeans, while obviously unworn, show some 'shelf wear' including superficial oxidation on the hardware. 

I couldn't tell if the belt loops were placed differently or if the position of the two horse patch, which looks more centered than usual, was giving that impression. I haven't check them side by side with other pairs.
