This one is at Stanford.  Not part of the DenimBruin, but you might notice the DenimBruin 1 t-shirt.  If you haven't visited the Stanford campus, you really ought to.  V tried to get me to go our last couple of trips down, but never made it until this one.  It really is quite amazing.  I won't cover it all, but I will say they have an absolute butt-load of Rodins.  Is it appropriate to say butt-load?  Eh, I'll go with it.  It even put the collection at the Legion of Honor to shame.

So glad you guys made it, bud. The Burghers of Calais is/are among my favorite sculptures. So much passion, wrought in bronze.

Sorry this took awhile.  August was a particularly rough month of a rough summer (for various reasons).  I hope this short reprise is welcome anyhow.

Day 1

I touched on some consternating business about Day 2, so I won't go further about why there are no pictures, and skip to Day 3.

As I am not the best photographer, I didn't quite convey how crowded the events were (in a good way).  Also I seem to end up with a lot of pictures of peoples backs...  Guess I'll have to go down again next year and hone my skills.

Whew, I finally got to take a breath from work.  DB '14 was a blast.  Seein' old folks, and seein' new folks.  I wish I could do it every year.  I just wish someone didn't get their poop out of it's group and had to get taken back to the hotel during the AB Fits program.  I really wanted to talk to John Chapman and Antonio of Blue Blanket (He gifted me a book and bandanna because he recognized me from the AB Elfelt tour!) more than I did.  Like Popeye says "Wimmins is fickle!"  It would be easy to sit and list all the awesome folks I got to interact with (actually it would be difficult, and long).  So I'll just mention a couple.  I was going to say Robbie is exactly as groovy, personable and fun to be around as you would imagine, except he's not.  He's like double that, at least.  Buy something from Whitefeather!  The goods are great, and Fardin is even better!  I'm saving change from my swear jar to eventually pick something up.

I know I haven't posted any yet, but I have a good reason.  I've been working overtime since I got home and will be doing double overtime till the end of August to pay for the trip.  Plus I've been working on a semi-secret super Denimbruin extra project.  I didn't want to talk about it much until I knew I was going to get sufficient material to work with.  Waiting for lab results is never fun, but they're in, and mostly positive.  As soon as I get some printing logistics figured out, I'll lay out the whole speal.
