Vintage Jansport(?!) Denim Pants

   I found these Jansport (?!) brand denim pants at a second hand store. I immediately googled but couldn't find anything. I was so intrigued by the brand, made in USA, and red lining, so I purchased anyway. 

AI gave me some insight but not much. Apparently the brand did a short trail run of apparel in the 1990s. Talon zipper suggests earlier though, 70s or 80s?  

Im hoping there might be some denim experts here who can help. Seems like they must be pretty rare?
